About the conference

As you travel on your academic journey, you are often shaped by what you see around you. Sometimes you accept status quo and settle for less than the best. Inevitably, your experiences make or mar your path beyond the institution. And because we know that women in academic environments can achieve more, that is precisely what this conference aims to inspire. From politics to leadership, and from your welfare to your rights, we will break barriers and redefine limits imposed by society.

The Conference poses one crucial question: Does your welfare matter? Within the academic environment, there are numerous issues that impact on our individual and collective wellbeing. We will confront some key welfare topics by:

  • Discussing the challenges faced by women in campus environments, from victim blaming to sexual harassment, from gender inequality to political exclusion, and much more.
  • Highlighting practical, empowering solutions to overcome these challenges. Discovering actionable steps to take, learn where to seek help, support, and drive change.
  • Addressing and embracing leadership opportunities in tertiary institutions and beyond. Equipping with the skills and mindset to make lasting impact.

Why YOU need to participate

At the Conference, you will have opportunities to:

  • gain access to a network of like-minded individuals.
